Nissan has now confirmed through its official social media handles that the new Gravite, initially set to break cover in January, will be revealed on February 17, 2026. While details about the Nissan Gravite are scarce at the moment, we know that the compact MPV will be a direct rival to the Renault Triber as its badge-engineered cousin. Also, the Japanese automaker is planning to launch two more cars in India by 2027.

  1. Gravite prices expected to range from Rs 6 lakh to 9 lakh
  2.  MPV to get 7-inch digital cluster, 8-inch touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  3. Dealer-fit CNG kit could be offered

Nissan styling cues are most apparent on the front fascia.

The Gravite’s sub-4-metre footprint is similar to that of the Renault Triber, its arch rival in the segment. What will set it apart visually, however, is an iteration of the Japanese brand’s signature ‘V-Motion’ front grille. Nissan’s new teaser image suggests a sporty-looking lower bumper with silver highlights, fog lamps tucked into the corners and a faux front skid plate. The bonnet has ‘GRAVITE’ written in bold characters, while the headlamps get twin-strip LED daytime running lights (DRLs).

Looking at the side profile of the Gravite, it will become abundantly clear to most that its silhouette is not indifferent to the Triber’s. Helping the Gravite stand out here are the silver roof rails and two-tone alloy wheels, with the latter likely only on the top trim. Earlier teasers have shown the rear of this Nissan MPV featuring a bold ‘GRAVITE’ branding, along with part-LED tail-lamps and a sporty-looking bumper with black plastic and silver garnish.

Nissan Gravite expected features

The equipment list is likely to be similar to the Triber’s.

Some of the anticipated features on the top trim of the upcoming Nissan Gravite include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, cruise control, a cooled glove box and a two-tone interior theme. Like the Triber, the Gravite will come with three rows of seats in a 5+2 configuration. Also likely are convenience-oriented fitments, such as rear AC vents, multiple charging outlets, cup holders and storage pockets, spread across all three rows. Covering the safety aspects of the Gravite would be a complement of 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, tyre-pressure monitoring, ISOFIX anchors and front and rear parking sensors with a reversing camera.

Nissan Gravite expected prices

We expect the Nissan Gravite to be priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9 lakh for the base and top trims, respectively. Under the bonnet would likely be the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine that powers the Triber, producing 72hp and 96Nm when fuelled with petrol. Nissan could also offer customers a dealer-fit CNG option. Transmission choices could include 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearboxes.
