The MG ZS EV has just been introduced in the Indian market, at a starting price of Rs 20.88 lakh for the base Excite variant. As of now, the carmaker will only offer the electric SUV in five cities, Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Now in order to provide its customers with some added convenience, MG has installed 50kW DC fast chargers at select dealerships across the aforementioned five cities that can charge the ZS EV SUV’s battery level from 0-80 percent in 50min. Additionally, the e-SUV’s owners can make use of the facilities free of charge – at least for a limited time after their purchase.

We have put together a list of all the dealerships that have these fast chargers set up; given below:

Ahmedabad

  • MG Ahmedabad SG Highway (Makarba)

Bengaluru

  • MG Bengaluru Electronic City (Hosur Road)
  • MG Bengaluru ORR

Delhi, NCR

  • MG Gurgaon Flagship (Sector 15, Gurugram)
  • MG Lajpat Nagar
  • MG Delhi West Shivaji Marg
  • MG Noida (D-2, Sector 8, Noida)

Mumbai

  • MG Mumbai West (Jogeshwari East)
  • MG Thane

Hyderabad

  • MG Hyderabad Jubilee Hills

Besides access to these fast chargers, MG also provides customers with a 7.4kW AC charger, which can be installed at the customer’s home/office, and can power the battery from discharge within 6-8hr. The ZS EV is even equipped with an on-board cable that can be plugged into any 15A wall socket. However, this method of charging takes much longer – a full charge taking up to 16-18hr.

The ZS EV comes with a 143hp/353Nm electric motor powered by a 44.5kWh, liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery and with a claimed range of 340km. The only direct competitor for the e-SUV in the Indian market is the Hyundai Kona Electric – although the upcoming Tata Nexon EV could also be a potential rival, depending on its pricing upon launch.
