Barely a day or so after Kia teased a futuristic prototype on social media, the Vision Meta Turismo Concept has been officially revealed. The car, which was unveiled at Kia’s 80th anniversary, pays tribute to the touring era of the 1960s while also indicating where the brand’s future models might be headed.
- The Kia Concept follows a coupe-SUV form factor.
- Exterior design features include slick angles gelled with aero-friendly features.
- Concept’s minimalistic interior prioritises driver and passenger experience in equal measure.
Kia Vision Meta Turismo Concept exterior design

Making use of the brand’s 'Opposites United' design language, the Vision Meta Turismo Concept tries to amalgamate well-defined angles with purposeful but smooth lines. The silhouette highlights the prototype’s gentle but extensively elongated roofline, almost resembling a bubble. This starts at the vast front windscreen and stretches beyond where the B-pillar would be, finally merging into the aft section of the rear haunches.
The massive glasshouse includes front and rear quarter lights, while the roof essentially consists of multiple panes. The golden paint scheme of the Kia Vision Meta Turismo Concept looks quite striking, with the front-end sporting two pairs of slim LEDs – one set located in the lower-front apron and another (even bigger) set on the bonnet. The latter integrates cameras that replace conventional ORVMs.

The front bumper appears to feature active air flaps, while multiple air vents are placed right ahead and at the base of the main windscreen. The back of the Kia Vision Meta Turismo gets crisp LED taillights that are also angular, with well-defined creases all the way down to the bumper. There are two distinctive LED strips located towards the trailing edge of the roof and above the rear diffuser. This four-door concept also has sculpted side skirts and large wheels with black hubcaps plus KIA lettering.
Kia Vision Meta Turismo Concept interior

The vast interior of the Kia Vision Meta Turismo is dominated by the aforementioned glasshouse, which floods the cabin with light. This visually opens up more space than what is already on offer. It is a two-tone interior that features differently designed seats for the front and rear occupants. The sporty-looking driver’s seat has a control-yoke-like steering that juts out of the dashboard and has a small digital display on top of it.
On the right armrest of the driver’s seat is a fighter-jet-style sidestick, while the back of the control yoke features paddle shifters (possibly to control brake regen). At the base of the windscreen and ahead of the driver is where Kia has chosen to project key vehicle information such as speed, range, energy consumption and drive modes. There are three of these modes: Speedster, Dreamer, and Gamer. Switching between them alters the way the augmented-reality head-up display projects the information and its associated animation.

The front passenger seat is designed and angled to mimic a lounge chair, which is Kia’s intention – this cabin is supposed to be relaxing and sporty, the latter particularly from the driver’s point of view. While the rear seats are not clear in these images, they should be just as comfortable. Meant to reduce clutter and enhance long-distance experience on the road, the cabin of the Kia Vision Meta Turismo concept could employ measures to reduce NVH.
Kia Vision Meta Turismo Concept: Would its production model become the next-gen Stinger?
There is no confirmation on whether the Vision Meta Turismo Concept will lead to the next-gen Kia Stinger. The prototype revealed at Kia’s 80th anniversary is a four-door gran tourer in theory. While the first-gen Stinger also followed a similar basic layout as a three-box sedan, its successor could be a coupe-SUV.
