Jeep India has launched the ‘Confidence 7’ ownership program for the Compass and Meridian customers. As the name suggests, Jeep’s new ownership program offers seven benefits that include assured buyback, subsidised annual maintenance contract, extended warranty, and loaner vehicle support, among others. Read on to find out what the American brand has in store for those interested in buying the Compass or the Meridian SUV.

  1. Ownership program costs Rs 41,926 for the Compass and Rs 47,024 for the Meridian
  2. Models like the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee are not included

1. Assured buyback program

Customers can expect up to 60 percent of the ex-showroom price returned.

The Jeep Assured Buyback Program (ABB) is now available all over India at any of the brand’s official dealerships. Under this buyback plan, Jeep will return up to 60% of the original ex-showroom price that a customer paid at the time of vehicle purchase. While the exact mileage limitation for this is unclear, the maximum tenure is 3 years from the date of sale. Furthermore, it will be a combination of both these factors that will ultimately determine a customer’s eligibility.

2. Long-term annual maintenance contract

Maximum tenure is 7 years; plans start from around Rs 38 per day.

Customers of the Compass and Meridian can now get subsidised rates on the maintenance coverage of their cars. Under the Confidence 7 program, the cost of Jeep’s annual maintenance contract (AMC) starts at Rs 38 and Rs 43 per day for the Compass and Meridian, respectively. The AMC’s maximum tenure is 7 years. For context, the standard maintenance contract covers up to 5 years or 75,000 kilometres. Jeep is also offering a service discount of up to 33% on the cost of parts and labour as part of its new AMC plan.

3. Extended warranty

Comes with the flexibility of transferable coverage to a new owner.

Jeep’s new ownership program adds an extended warranty coverage of up to 7 years. Moreover, should the current owner choose to sell their car before this period comes to an end, they can transfer the remaining warranty to the next owner. This should keep the resale values of well-maintained examples high.

4. Courtesy Edge

Owners can get a loaner vehicle if service or basic repairs exceed two days.

If a customer’s car exceeds two days at an authorised Jeep centre for either servicing or carrying out non-accidental repair work, they will be eligible for a loaner vehicle. Alternatively, the brand will have to arrange a cab for the owner to make up for the delay in the delivery of the vehicle after its visit to the service centre.

5. Roadside assistance

Jeep Compass and Meridian customers will get a complimentary 7-year roadside assistance (RSA) coverage along with their new purchase as part of the ‘Confidence 7’ ownership program.

6. Priority Privileges and Express Service

Owners who are a part of the Jeep Confidence 7 program will be eligible for an Express Service. Depending on the type of work involved, the service centre is expected to return the vehicle in a minimum of 90 minutes, with the maximum turnaround time being 180 minutes.

7. Jeep Lifestyle merchandise voucher

On signing up, customers of the Confidence 7 program will be offered a Jeep Lifestyle voucher worth Rs 2,000, which can be used to purchase merchandise from the Jeep Gear Store.
