Volvo EX60 battery pack and range
Has an 810km claimed range and supports 400kW DC fast charging

While exact battery details are still under wraps, the Volvo EX60 is built on the new 800V ‘SP3’ platform, offering a claimed WLTP range of 810km for the top-spec AWD version. A single-motor, two-wheel-drive option is also likely.
The platform supports 400kW DC fast charging, which can add up to 340km of range in just 10 minutes. Volvo will also offer a 10-year warranty on the battery pack.
Volvo EX60 exterior design
Features the Thor’s Hammer LED DRLs and a panoramic glass roof
Like other Volvo models, the EX60 features the signature ‘Thor’s Hammer’ LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) and sleek LED headlights. Teaser images also hint at vertically stacked LED fog lamps on either side of the bumper. While the grille design remains undisclosed, it is expected to be blanked off in typical EV style; the Volvo logo is visible, though.

The side profile shows outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) with camera modules, indicating a 360-degree camera system, as well as dual-tone alloy wheels. A top-down view also highlights a panoramic glass roof. In May 2025, the rear design was previewed with a clay model, showcasing the iconic Volvo tail-lights, a gloss-black section on the bumper and a silver skid plate.
Volvo EX60 interior and features
A free-standing touchscreen and Bowers & Wilkins audio system confirmed

While the full feature list will be revealed on January 21, Volvo’s teasers show a large, free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with integrated climate controls and Google Gemini support. Below it, there’s a physical scroller for navigating the system. The EX60 also includes a Bowers & Wilkins audio system. Other likely features include a digital driver’s display, multi-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger and powered, ventilated seats.
Volvo is known for its strong safety features, and the EX60 raises the bar with multi-adaptive safety belts. The manufacturer claims that these belts adjust to traffic conditions and the wearer’s needs, using real-time data from the car’s sensors to provide enhanced protection.
There’s no word from Volvo regarding the EX60’s India launch. But if it arrives, it will compete with the Tesla Model Y and BMW iX3.
