Read on to find out the answers to frequently asked questions about the BMW 5 Series LWB.

What powertrains are on offer with the BMW 5 Series LWB?

The new-gen BMW 5 Series is offered with petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains overseas. However, for India, the 5 Series LWB has a single petrol engine option – it's a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that comes with 48V mild-hybrid tech mated to an 8-speed automatic. This unit produces 258hp and 400Nm of peak torque. BMW claims a 0-100kph time of 6.5 seconds, and a top speed of 250kph.

The 5 Series LWB is even larger than the next-generation E-Class LWB (L/W/H: 5,092/1,880/1,493mm; WB: 3,094mm), which will be launched here later this year.
