Best Diwali discounts on three-row SUVs

Carmakers such as Jeep, Citroen and Mahindra are offering Diwali discounts on their three-row SUVs that can seat seven occupants. These include cash discounts, exchange or scrappage bonuses and loyalty benefits, with offers varying across models. Here are the best deals on three-row SUVs priced under Rs 30 lakh.

Jeep Meridian

Up to Rs 1.65 lakh

Benefits on select variants of the Jeep Meridian three-row SUV go up to Rs 1.65 lakh, and buyers of the MY2024 inventory can also take advantage of corporate offers ranging up to Rs 1.3 lakh. Doctors and leasing companies can additionally secure benefits of up to Rs 30,000. Mechanically, the Meridian and Compass are almost identical, so you get a 170hp 2.0-litre diesel engine, 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic gearboxes, and the option of 4x4 in higher trims. The Meridian price range is Rs 23.33 lakh to Rs 38.26 lakh.

Citroen Aircross X

Up to Rs 1.55 lakh

Citroen is offering benefits worth up to Rs 1.55 lakh on the Aircross X. The midsize SUV seats up to seven occupants and can also be had in a 5-seater guise. Its prices range between Rs 8.89 lakh and Rs 14.52 lakh.

Mahindra Scorpio N

Up to Rs 1.5 lakh

The Mahindra Scorpio N is available with discounts of up to Rs 1.5 lakh, depending on the variant. The highest benefit of Rs 1.5 lakh is available on the diesel-automatic Z8L and Z8T 4WD variants. This includes a cash discount of Rs 1.25 lakh and an exchange offer of Rs 25,000. The Z2, Z4 and Z6 variants get an exchange benefit of up to Rs 25,000. The petrol-manual Z8 and Z8T variants also get free accessories worth up to Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively.

The petrol-manual Z8L and Z8L 2WD, along with the Z8S petrol variants, get a cash discount of Rs 25,000 and an exchange offer of Rs 25,000, taking the total discount to Rs 50,000. The diesel-automatic Z8L, Z8L 2WD and Z8T 2WD variants get a cash discount of Rs 50,000 and an exchange or scrappage benefit of Rs 25,000. These variants also get free accessories worth Rs 25,000. 

Hyundai Alcazar

Up to Rs 90,000

Petrol variants of the Hyundai Alcazar are available with benefits of up to Rs 90,000, while diesel models get offers of up to Rs 45,000. The Alcazar is priced between Rs 14.51 lakh and Rs 21.81 lakh. It rivals the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.

Tata Safari

Up to Rs 53,000

The Tata Safari diesel is currently available with offers worth up to Rs 53,000. These include a cash discount of Rs 10,000, which is valid up to November 15, and a Rs 35,000 scrappage bonus. Select corporates can also avail a Rs 8,000 discount. The Safari starts at Rs 13.40 lakh and goes up to Rs 26.30 lakh.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic

Up to Rs 40,000

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is available with benefits of up to Rs 40,000, along with free accessories worth Rs 25,000. The S variant gets a cash discount of Rs 10,000 and a scrappage benefit of Rs 20,000, taking the total offers to Rs 30,000. The higher S11 variant gets a cash discount of Rs 20,000 and a scrappage benefit of Rs 20,000, taking the total to Rs 40,000.
