Benefits up to Rs 2 lakh on BS4 Tata cars, SUVs in February 2020

Tata Motors is offering some big discounts and benefits on its range of cars and SUVs for this month. These discounts are applicable only to the BS4 models, with Tata having rolled out BS6-compliant iterations of the Harrier, Nexon, Tiago and Tigor – the latter three received facelifts to match. Here is a look at what you can avail at your nearest Tata dealer.

    Tata Hexa

Benefits up to Rs 2 lakh
The Hexa is attracting the biggest discounts in Tata’s line-up with cash benefits of up to Rs 1.5 lakh with customer looking to trade-in their car getting further benefits of up to Rs 50,000. Set to be replaced by the Gravitas as Tata’s flagship model, the Hexa is expected to get a BS6 upgrade in the coming months with the Hexa Safari Concept showcased at the Auto Expo indicating to the same. The BS4 Hexa is powered by a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine in two states of tune – 150hp/320Nm or 156hp/400Nm.

    Tata Harrier

Benefits up to Rs 1.3 lakh
With the launch of the more powerful 170hp, BS6-compliant Harrier, Tata is offering benefits of up to Rs 1.3 lakh on the remaining stocks of the BS4 SUV to make room for new inventory. Compared to the BS6 model, the BS4 Harrier is down on power with the 2.0-litre diesel good for 140hp; though torque is identical at 350Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.

    Tata Zest

    Benefits up to Rs 90,000
One of the older models in Tata’s line-up, the Zest was the carmaker’s second attempt at the compact sedan space after creating the segment with the Indigo CS. Dealers are offering benefits worth up to Rs 90,000 on the dated compact sedan. The Zest is available with two engine options – either a 1.2-litre, turbo-petrol motor or the widely used Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre diesel mill offered in two states of tune. The Zest is due to be phased out with the implementation of Bharat Stage 6 emission norms from April 1, 2020.

    Tata Bolt

    Benefits up to Rs 80,000
A hatchback sibling to the Zest, the Bolt too is set to phase out when the new emission norms roll out. Tata dealers are offering benefits of up to Rs 80,000 on any units of the hatchback they have in stock, though careful bargaining could land you a better deal. The hatchback shares its engines with the Zest; although the diesel is only available in its lower (75hp) state of tune.

    Tata Tigor

    Benefits up to Rs 70,000
Late last month, Tata announced the simultaneous launch of three facelifts – the Nexon, Tiago and Tigor. Now dealers are offering benefits ranging up to Rs 70,000 on the pre-facelift model, with the diesel variant attracting higher benefits. The petrol compact sedan is being offered with discounts of up to Rs 60,000. The pre-facelift is available with two engine options – an 85hp, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol or a 70hp 1.05-litre three-cylinder diesel.

    Tata Nexon

    Benefits up to Rs 55,000
Tata is offering benefits of up to Rs 55,000 on the pre-facelift Nexon compact SUV as dealers look to clear stocks of the BS4-compliant model prior to the BS6 deadline. Tata launched the updated BS6 Nexon late last month, with both the petrol and diesel engines being upgraded to meet the more stringent new emission norms.

    Tata Safari Storme

    Benefits up to Rs 55,000
Tata’s ageing SUV’s life-cycle is officially over with Tata having pulled the plug on the Safari Storme last year. Dealers are presently offering benefits of up to Rs 55,000 on any variant of the SUV, subject to availability of stocks.

    Tata Tiago

    Benefits up to Rs 50,000
Tata’s budget hatchback rivals the Maruti Wagon R and Hyundai Santro; and the past few weeks saw the launch of the BS6-compliant facelift. Sharing its underpinnings with the Tigor, the Tiago is offered with the same engine options as the compact sedan and can be had with benefits worth up to Rs 50,000 for the diesel model. Buyers looking at the petrol model can avail discounts of up to Rs 45,000.
