2026 Citroen eC3X launched at Rs 10.25 lakh

With the 2026 update, Citroen has rendered the eC3 with a new eC3X moniker, while offering new features such as a coloured TFT driver’s display, 6 airbags and all-LED lighting.

Citroen has launched the updated the eC3 EV, calling it the eC3X, with prices starting from Rs 10.25 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 1.74 lakh lower than the outgoing model. A battery-as-a-service (BaaS) scheme is also being offered, which reduces the car's upfront cost to Rs 6.29 lakh while charging a battery rental fee of Rs 2.26 per km. The 2026 eC3X gets new exterior, interior and convenience features and is available in three variants: Live, Live (O) and Shine.

2026 Citroen eC3X: What’s new?

Gets new LED headlights, alloy wheels and powered ORVMs

Changes on the 2026 eC3X include new projector LED headlights from the ICE-powered model, redesigned 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and electrically adjustable and foldable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs). It continues with V-shaped LED DRLs, LED taillights, black cladding on the wheel arches and body, and halogen front fog lamps. Both the front and rear bumper designs are also identical and feature faux silver skid plates.

Inside, while the dashboard layout is the same as the older model, the 2026 eC3X has a new dual-tone blue-and-beige cabin theme. The seats now have leatherette upholstery, a considerable upgrade from the previously available fabric upholstery.

Citroen has also equipped the 2026 eC3X with a new 7-inch coloured digital driver’s display, an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM), a dashcam, a 6-speaker JBL audio system (2 more than before), and a wireless phone charger. Notably, the dashcam and JBL speakers are fitted as accessories. The eC3X also gets 6 airbags at its top-end variant, while the lower variants offer 4 airbags. The EV continues with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, manual AC, a rear wiper and a rear parking camera with sensors. 

2026 Citroen eC3X: Powertrain

Gets the same 29.2kWh battery but has a higher claimed range now

The 2026 eC3X comes with a 29.2kWh battery pack with a claimed MIDC range of 325km, which is 79km more than before. The battery is mated to a front-axle-mounted electric motor that produces 57hp and 143Nm, which is claimed to propel the EV from 0-60kph in 6.8 seconds, before maxing out at 107kph.

An AC charger can recharge the eC3X from 10 to 100 percent in 10 hours and 30 minutes, while a DC fast charger takes 57 minutes to recharge the battery from 10 to 80 percent. The Citroen eC3X continues to lock horns with the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet.
