The latest facelift for the Volvo XC60 – the second one for the current generation – is scheduled to launch in India on August 1. Volvo has hinted that the India-spec XC60 facelift is likely to get subtle exterior changes compared to the model that debuted in February.

Gets new grille and alloy wheel design
While the facelift looks largely the same as the current model on sale in India, the 2025 XC60 sports a new diagonally slatted grille design, new multi-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels, redesigned air vents in the front bumper and a smoky effect for the tail-lights. Whether the three new colour options – Forest Lake, Aurora Silver and Mulberry Red – seen on the international model will be offered in India is yet unknown. The current XC60 comes in six colour options: Crystal White, Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Platinum Grey, Bright Dusk and Vapour Grey.

Gets new 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Compared to the current SUV on sale, changes on the inside include a new mesh grille for the speakers and a new 11.2-inch freestanding infotainment screen, which gets a new user experience and over-the-air updates and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform processor. Volvo claims that it offers greater image quality and is twice as fast as the previous infotainment system.

Likely to continue with 250hp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid assist
The current XC60’s 48V mild-hybrid system and 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which produced 250hp and 360Nm of peak torque, is expected to be offered on the facelift as well. This unit is paired to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels. Volvo calls this setup the XC60 B5 AWD Mild Hybrid.
2025 Volvo XC60 facelift price and rivals in India
Expected to cost slightly more than the current model’s Rs 70.75 lakh price tag
As the current XC60 is priced at Rs 70.75 lakh, expect the facelift to command a marginal premium. The 2025 XC60 facelift will continue to rival the likes of the Mercedes GLC (from Rs 78.3 lakh), BMW X3 (from Rs 75.80 lakh) and Audi Q5 (Rs 68 lakh onwards).
