Yamaha R15V4 specifications

The Yamaha R15V4 is built around a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 155cc engine with Variable Valve Actuation, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch fitted as standard across both variants. Yamaha's claimed top speed is close to 150kph, and Autocar India's road test described the engine as delightfully free-revving, with the VVA system adding a discernible surge in the upper part of the rev range.
 

Chassis hardware is shared across both variants: a Deltabox frame and a USD front fork underpin the handling, which Autocar's testers found held a line as if on rails through corners. Dual-channel ABS and traction control are fitted on both, and fuel capacity stands at 11 litres across the board.
 

The one specification that does differ is the quickshifter, fitted only on the range-topping model, working in an up-only configuration also usable in track mode, and entirely absent on the entry model. Riders should also note the committed clip-on riding position, which Autocar's road test flagged as not suited for long highway stints, a factor that applies to both variants regardless of specification level.
