Bajaj Pulsar, Bajaj Pulsar spied, Bajaj Pulsar updates

The Bajaj Pulsar 220F was briefly discontinued and replaced by the all-new Pulsar 250F. However, the cult following and demand for the Pulsar 220F was so great that Bajaj was compelled to reintroduce the motorcycle earlier last year. Bajaj updated the rest of its motorcycles in the meantime and now an updated Pulsar 220F has been spotted at a dealership before its official launch.

  1. Old analogue unit replaced with Bluetooth enabled LCD
  2. Gets new switchgear for updated display
  3. Expected to be mechanically similar to the current model

This unit can be spotted donning new graphics, which feature the ‘220’ moniker displayed more prominently, similar to what we’ve seen Bajaj do with the updated Pulsar N250. The biggest change on this bike is the addition of a LCD screen, which replaces the part digi-analog display. This unit is similar to the one found on the Pulsar N160 and like it also supports Bluetooth connectivity.

This LCD also features turn-by-turn navigation and a new set of switchgear to help toggle through this new screen’s features. Bajaj has also thrown in a USB charging socket located right next to the screen in case you wish to mount your device and charge it. These new updates have now increased the price by roughly Rs 2,500.

There seem to be no mechanical changes to the Pulsar 220F and, like before, it is powered by a 220cc air/oil-cooled motor that produces 20.4hp and 18.5Nm; this motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The 220F continues to be one of Bajaj’s highest-selling Pulsar models ever since its introduction back in 2009.
