Hero MotoCorp is one of two legacy Indian brands that will be present at EICMA 2023 (the other one being Royal Enfield) and will be showcasing a brand-new maxi-scooter at the famed trade show.

    1. Maxi-scooter gets brand-new, liquid-cooled engine
    2. Looks substantial, has stepped seat
    3. Vida V1 Pro will also be shown

From a teaser the company released on its social media handle, it can be seen that this maxi-scooter uses a liquid-cooled engine. Hero currently has only one liquid-cooled engine in its lineup, found in the new Karizma XMR. It remains to be seen whether this maxi-scooter will use an engine based on the Karizma’s unit or will debut an all-new motor.

The design of the maxi-scooter in this teaser is the same as the one seen in an earlier design patent and it is unlike any other locally manufactured scooter. Another feature rarely seen on an Indian scooter is an underbone frame but this Hero maxi-scooter features it.

Underbone frames are quite popular on maxi and sporty scooters sold in South East Asian countries like Indonesia, but, at the minute, there are only a microscopic amount of scooters with these unique frames in India. This Hero maxi scooter could very well be the first homegrown scooter to feature this sort of chassis.

What can also be seen in the teaser is that this Hero maxi-scooter gets keyless ignition, which will mark another first for the company. It also seems that this scooter will have some touring ability, considering it has a large windscreen and even a top box.

Alongside this new maxi-scooter, Hero will also showcase its EV products under the Vida brand at EICMA. Stay tuned as we bring you all the latest updates.
