TVS has replaced the entry-level iQube 2.2kWh with a new 2.3kWh variant, bringing a larger battery and more range to the base of the iQube lineup while making some notable trade-offs. Pricing remains unchanged at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru, excluding PM E-Drive subsidy).

The new variant trades performance for range
The larger 2.3kWh battery pack brings with it a notable increase in range. TVS claims that IDC range has gone up from 94km to 114km, a 20km increase that should make it a more practical offering. However, the trade-offs are significant. Peak motor power has dropped to 3.68kW, and this is the only variant to now use this motor – all other iQube variants continue with a 4.4kW unit.
The drop in peak power has resulted in top speed dropping from 75kph on the outgoing 2.2kWh to 68kph. The 0-40kph sprint time also slips from 4.2 seconds to 4.7 seconds. Charging from 0-80 percent takes 2 hours 50 minutes, a tad longer than the 2.2kWh's 2 hours 45 minutes.
Lastly, the new 2.3kWh scooter loses the front disc brake that the 2.2kWh offered, reverting to a drum brake at the front.
Pricing remains unchanged at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru, excluding PM E-Drive subsidy), the same price as after the recent price revision we reported earlier this month.
