The production version to spawn from the 2025 Lexus LS MPV concept will slot above the LM.

The front section gets a new take on Lexus's spindle grille and features intersecting L-shaped light bars; the Lexus lettermark is illuminated, too.

The prototype's 6-wheel arrangement has been chosen for an enhanced interior space.

Sliding door opens to a spacious, high-tech cabin.

Glass panels on the roof are bigger than the LM MPV.

Its rear section has U-shaped lights framing the tailgate.

Yoke steering wheel may hint at a by-wire setup, like the new Lexus RZ.

The middle row seats can be rotated to face backwards.

Captain seats in the last row.

The Lexus LS nameplate, long used for the Japanese luxury carmaker's sedan flagship, will soon be used for an MPV, previewed by a concept at the 2025 Tokyo Motor Show. "Since the LS [sedan] first came out in 1989, the rules of the luxury market have changed. Executive sedans use to rule the world, but now they're fighting a losing battle with SUVs, said Simon Humphries, head of design for Lexus. The global production of the Lexus LS sedan will end next year, and 'LS' will eventually denote luxury space, instead of luxury saloon. He added that they will have more creative freedom now that Toyota has made Century a standalone ultra-luxury brand positioned above Lexus.
