Harley-Davidson X440: variants and pricing explained

Despite the almost unbelievable price tag of the new Triumph Speed 400, it’s impossible to deny that the Harley-Davidson X440 is also being offered at a very remarkable price point. The little Harley is being offered in three variants, starting at Rs 2.29 lakh and going up to Rs 2.69 lakh. Here’s what the line-up looks like.

    Harley-Davidson X440: Denim variant

This is the entry-level version of the Harley-Davidson X440, and it is priced at Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Visually identifiable by its wire-spoke wheels, the Denim is offered in just one colour, called Denim Mustard Yellow. Despite being the base version, it still comes equipped with an LED headlight, a TFT display and Bluetooth connectivity, just like the rest of the lineup.

    Harley-Davidson X440: Vivid variant

Vivid is the mid-spec variant of the X440 line-up, and it differs from the Denim version in the fact that it comes equipped with alloy wheels. These also bring in the convenience of tubeless tyres, and the Vivid variant comes in two colours – Vivid Thick Red and Vivid Dark Silver. It is priced at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Harley-Davidson X440: S variant

The range-topping S variant of the X440 comes in at Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it a whole Rs 40,000 more expensive than the Denim. Like the Vivid, it also gets alloy wheels but here you get diamond-cut alloys with a machined finish, and you see this same machined finish on the engine cooling fins as well. Though it shares its Bluetooth-equipped TFT display with the lower variants, it goes a step further by packing in an eSIM, which allows it connected features. These include, geo-fencing, vehicle tracking, remote immobilisation and more.

We had a chance to briefly ride this top-spec S variant, and you can check out our review of the Harley-Davidson X440 here.
