A major difference between the 2026 Tiago and Grand i10 Nios is that the former gets a 3-cylinder engine, which will be less smooth than the latter’s 4-cylinder mill. However, the power outputs of the respective 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engines are similar in both the 2026 Tiago and Grand i10 Nios. Both hatchbacks also offer a choice between a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual gearbox in their top-spec trims.

The top-spec Tata Tiago gets a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system, paddle shifters with the AMT variant and a front centre armrest with integrated storage space over the Grand i10 Nios. The Hyundai hatchback, on the other hand, has three adjustable headrests for rear seat passengers, while the Tiago offers integrated headrests only for the side passengers on the rear bench. Everything else, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, auto AC with rear vents, a wireless phone charger, and push-button start/stop, is common for both hatchbacks.

The 2026 Tata Tiago’s top-spec Creative+ trim is offered with a 360-degree camera setup, while the Grand i10 Nios Asta offers a rear parking camera. The Tiago also gets rain-sensing wipers. However, the top-spec Grand i10 Nios gets a dashcam, whereas Tata offers it as an accessory at around Rs 14,000 extra. Everything else, including a manually adjustable inside rearview mirror (IRVM), rear wiper and washer, ISOFIX anchorages and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), is common to both hatchbacks.

The top-spec Tata Tiago is being offered at up to Rs 22,000 lower price tag than the top-spec Grand i10 Nios. Moreover, at a lower price, Tata is offering a lot more convenience features than the Grand i10 Nios, including a larger infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, automatic headlights and wipers, and paddle shifters with the AMT. This makes the 2026 Tata Tiago Creative+ a better value-for-money proposition than the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Asta.
