The Tiago EV has received its biggest update in MY26. Tiago EV is the most affordable EV you can buy
Tata has slashed the prices of the 2026 Tiago EV by up to Rs 1.15 lakh, making it the most affordable electric car in India. The Comet EV’s starting price is slightly higher than the Tiago EV’s, but their top-spec versions cost exactly the same. The eC3 is the most expensive in this comparison, with its base variant priced Rs 5 lakh higher than the Tiago EV and Rs 4.37 lakh higher than the Comet EV.

Tiago EV is the second largest here
In terms of dimensions, the Tiago EV falls short of the Citroen eC3 but is much larger than the MG Comet EV. The eC3 is longer and wider, and it has the longest wheelbase here, while the MG Comet EV is the tallest. Also, the eC3 has the biggest boot space here, which is 75 litres larger than the Tiago’s. Besides having the smallest length and width, the Comet EV sits the lowest and has the smallest wheel size. Also, its boot space is the smallest here.

Tiago EV offers the most power and the highest claimed range
Unlike the eC3 and Comet, which offer only one battery pack, the Tiago EV is available with two options: 19.2kWh and 24kWh, retained from the pre-update model. These are smaller than the 29.2kWh unit in the eC3 but bigger than that of the Comet EV. Performance-wise, the Tiago EV produces the highest power, but the eC3 delivers the highest torque. As for the claimed range, the Tiago EV’s 24kWh and 19kWh have the highest and lowest figures here, respectively. Compared to the Tiago EV’s 24kWh version, the claimed range is lower by 39km for the eC3 and by 55km for the Comet EV.

Tiago EV charges the quickest on AC and DC speeds
At 3.3kW AC charging speeds, the Tiago EV’s 19.2kWh version charges the quickest, followed closely by the Comet EV, while the eC3 takes the longest, thanks to its larger battery. Moreover, the Tiago EV and Comet EV support faster 7.2kW and 7.4kW AC charging speeds, respectively. DC fast charging is available only on the Tiago EV and eC3, with the former having a faster claimed charging time.
