BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro India launch on February 16

BMW has revealed that the upcoming 30 xDrive M Sport Pro variant of the X3 SUV will be launched in India on February 16, 2026. The international-spec X3 30 xDrive comes with a 255hp 2-litre twin-turbo petrol engine, which the India-spec model is expected to borrow. This will make this variant the most powerful X3 sold here.

  1. X3 30 xDrive will be available with the M Sport Pro package
  2. BMW X3 currently gets 190hp petrol and 197hp diesel options

Upcoming BMW X3 30 xDrive: All you need to know

AWD confirmed; could come with a 255hp petrol engine

While the engine details are yet to be revealed, BMW has confirmed an all-wheel-drive (AWD) layout. The BMW X3 30 xDrive sold overseas packs a 2-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder petrol engine producing 255hp, mated to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission, sending power to all the wheels. All of this helps it clock a 0-100kph run in 6 seconds. The same mill is likely to feature in the India-spec X3 30 xDrive, which will be locally produced in Chennai.

Currently, the X3 is available in our market in 190hp xDrive 20 and 197hp xDrive 20d variants, which can complete a 0-100kph sprint in 8.5 seconds and 7.7 seconds, respectively. Notably, both the xDrive 20 versions come with the M Sport additions, but the upcoming 30 xDrive variant will get the M Sport Pro package. While model-specific details of this package are yet to be known, it could receive some sportier trims and additional features to justify its ‘Pro’ tag.

Other expected features

The upcoming BMW X3 30 xDrive is expected to carry over the features from the other variants. These include the dual-integrated displays, a head-up display, a 15-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a wireless phone charger and a panoramic sunroof.

The current-spec X3 is priced between Rs 72.10 lakh and Rs 73.20 lakh, and the upcoming X3 30 xDrive is expected to command a slight premium owing to its more powerful engine and the M Sport Pro badge. Its rivals will include the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and Land Rover Discovery Sport

Prices are ex-showroom, India.
