Bajaj Auto has inaugurated its new manufacturing plant in Manaus, Brazil, where it will initially focus on manufacturing Dominar models, with plans to introduce Pulsar models later. Bajaj vehicles are now being sold in 100 countries.

The new plant, spread over 9,600 square metres, is equipped with advanced manufacturing technology, including cutting-edge engine assembly, vehicle assembly, and testing facilities. It has an annual production capacity of 20,000 units operating on a single shift. Its strategic location in Manaus leverages the substantial fiscal benefits offered by the State as well as proximity to supply chains and major transportation hubs.

Construction of the plant began in June 2023 and it became production-ready within a year. Initially focusing on sourcing, assembling and testing Dominar models, with plans to expand to other product lines, the facility has obtained ISO certification for its production processes. Bajaj do Brasil has successfully integrated local suppliers and commenced sourcing key motorcycle parts and components from Manaus.
