Toyota Innova HyCross price in Guruvayoor

₹22.82 - ₹40.60 Lakh
On road price in
EMI starting at ₹32,983 /month

Choosing between the strong-hybrid and regular-petrol Innova Hycross comes down to a payback calculation: pay more upfront for the hybrid and recover it through fuel savings over time, or pay less at purchase and carry higher running costs for years. That trade-off only becomes concrete once the city-specific numbers are on the table. In Guruvayoor, the on-road figure layers RTO registration, insurance and other statutory charges over the ex-showroom price, and this varies from city to city for an identical trim. For September 2026 in Guruvayoor, the base model, Petrol G 7 seat, carries an ex-showroom price of Rs. 18.70 lakh, which works out to Rs. 22.82 lakh on-road.

  • Base variant, Petrol G 7 seat (Petrol G, 7-seat): Rs. 22.82 lakh on-road in Guruvayoor
  • Hybrid ZX (O) 7 seat, the top model with a panoramic sunroof and a 9-speaker JBL system: Rs. 40.60 lakh on-road
  • The strong-hybrid range commands roughly a Rs. 6-7 lakh premium over the equivalent regular-petrol automatic, a straight trade-off between upfront cost and running efficiency
  • Best value pick: Hybrid VX, the point where the hybrid powertrain's efficiency gains become worthwhile without paying for the top variant's leather upholstery and panoramic sunroof

Opting for a loan on the base variant, Petrol G 7 seat, brings the monthly outlay to an EMI of Rs. 32,983 against a loan of Rs. 20,50,000. Given how wide the price spread runs between the regular-petrol and hybrid lines, the deciding factor ultimately comes down to whether long-term fuel savings outweigh a lower on-road price in Guruvayoor.

My requirement is for a reasonably large 7-seater vehicle because I frequently go on very long drives. Sometimes, I even drive 1,200 km in a single stretch. I have been driving a Toyota Etios Liva for almost 15 years, and the car has given me virtually zero problems. So, I have firsthand experience of Toyota reliability. My budget is around Rs. 24 lakh, and reliability is my number-one priority. I love diesel cars, although I understand that diesel options are fewer. At the moment, I am mainly considering the non-hybrid Toyota Innova HyCross ZX(O) petrol. Within my budget, I mayconsider Innova Crysta, depending on the variant and on-road price. I am also considering Honda City Hybrid, but my concern is the reduced boot space in the hybrid version, and of course, it isn’t a 7-seater. I’m not really looking at too many other brands, although I’m also wondering about the Mahindra XUV 7XO. I haven’t driven it yet, so I’m not sure whether I should seriously consider it. When I compare Mahindra with Toyota, I personally don’t feel that Toyota-level reliability is there and reliability is important to me because I plan to keep the vehicle for many years. I also like some of the newer brands and products such as Citroen but I am concerned whether manufacturers will continue operating in India in the long term. I don’t want to buy a vehicle from a brand that may disappear. So, given my requirements including a 7-seater car for long-distance driving, excellent reliability, comfortable highway cruising, reasonable boot space, and a budget of around Rs. 24 lakh, which car would you recommend? Should I go for the Innova HyCross ZX(O) non-hybrid, Innova Crysta, or take a chance on something like the Mahindra XUV 7XO? I’m particularly interested in your recommendation from a long-term ownership and reliability, comfort perspective, because after owning a Toyota for 15 years, I know what genuine reliability feels like.

Given your priorities, the Innova Crysta makes the most sense. You have already experienced Toyota reliability over 15 years, frequently undertake extremely long highway drives and specifically prefer diesel. The Crysta matches that brief better than the HyCross or XUV 7XO.The 2.4-litre diesel is well suited to long-distance touring, with strong low-end torque and a relaxed character on the highway. It also offers a genuinely usable seven-seat cabin and good luggage space. Most importantly, its long-established powertrain and Toyota's service support make it the safer choice if you intend to keep the car for many years. The HyCross is more modern and more efficient, but there is an important point about the variant you mentioned: the ZX(O) is hybrid-only. If you want the naturally aspirated petrol, the top grade is the GX(O), which is available with seven or eight seats. The hybrid ZX(O) is also considerably beyond your Rs. 24 lakh budget. The XUV 7XO is worth a test drive, but if reliability is genuinely your number-one priority, the Toyota is the more reassuring long-term choice.

I am 74 years old and have an XL6. I feel like buying an Innova HyCross G, as my driving is not much, but I love driving.

The Toyota Innova HyCross G is a sensible upgrade from your XL6, especially if you enjoy driving and value long-term ownership. The HyCross is a genuinely comfortable and spacious MPV with a strong reputation for reliability and durability, which is important at this stage of ownership. The G variant is well-equipped and offers a good balance of features without unnecessary complexity. However, given that your running is not much, the hybrid premium may not be fully justified from a fuel savings perspective. The HyCross is still a very comfortable and easy car to drive, but it is a large vehicle and may feel unnecessarily big if you are not regularly carrying a full family or using the third row.If you love driving and want something more engaging, you could also consider the Skoda Kushaq. It is smaller, more driver-focused of an SUVs with strong turbo petrol engines and a more enjoyable driving experience. Its is also easier to manoeuvre in the city and more suited to lower running.Ultimately, the decision comes down to your priorities. If you value space, comfort and long-term reliability, the HyCross G is a great choice. If you want a more engaging driving experience and do not need the extra space, the Kushaq would be a better fit.

Hi Autocar Team, I am planning to buy the Innova Hycross GX (O) variant with an on-road budget of Rs. 30 lakh in Hyderabad. The reasons for choosing this car are the reliability of Toyota's petrol engines, long-term ownership assurance, good service support, and minimal maintenance requirements. I know it is not loaded with all the latest features, but it seems like a good overall package to me. However, I would like your expert opinion. Please let me know if my thinking is in the right direction or if I am missing anything important that I might regret later.

Your thinking is absolutely in the right direction. The Toyota Innova Hycross GX (O) is a sensible choice for a budget car under Rs .30 lakh budget, especially given your priorities of reliability, long-term ownership and low maintenance. The naturally aspirated petrol engine is proven, Toyota’s service network is excellent and the Hycross is one of the most dependable family cars on the market. The GX (O) may not be feature-rich, but it covers all the essentials and the focus on mechanical robustness and practicality is exactly what makes the Hycross such a strong ownership proposition.

Hi, I want a spacious seven seater SUV with automatic transmission. I was planning for the Innova HyCross ZX(O)but recently learnt that Kia Sorento is being launched in India soon, so should I wait for the Sorento?
