The Tesla Model Y is the American carmaker’s first EV in India. It was launched in India in July 2025 with a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) setup. The Tesla Model Y price in India is between ₹59.89 lakh and ₹67.89 lakh, ex-showroom. Choosing some customisations can, however, raise the prices by a considerable margin.

The Model Y Tesla is available in a total of 2 variants in India, including Rear Wheel Drive, Long Range Rear Wheel Drive. The lower trim is offered with a 64kWh battery pack that powers a 299hp electric motor and has a claimed range of 500km. The higher variant gets a bigger 84.2kWh battery pack that has a claimed range of 661km.

The Tesla Model Y rivals in India include the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and BYD Sealion 7.
