Mahindra XUV 7XO

Mahindra XUV 7XO price in Bargarh

₹16.23 - ₹30.57 Lakh
On road price in
EMI starting at ₹23,490 /month

With 27 variants on offer, working out the on-road price of the Mahindra XUV 7XO in Bargarh in August 2026 takes more than glancing at the ex-showroom sticker at the dealership. RTO registration, insurance and other statutory charges add to that figure, pushing the total up substantially, and the gap between variants only widens once these charges are applied. The base model, AX 2.0 Petrol MT, is priced at Rs. 13.99 lakh ex-showroom in Bargarh, working out to Rs. 16.23 lakh on-road once these charges are factored in.

  • Base variant, AX 2.0 Petrol MT: Rs. 16.23 lakh on-road in Bargarh
  • AX7 Luxury 2.2 Diesel AWD AT, the top model with AWD, a Level 2 ADAS suite and Harman Kardon audio: Rs. 30.57 lakh on-road
  • Automatic gearbox trims across the range carry a premium of roughly Rs. 1.74 to 2.80 lakh over the equivalent manual
  • Best value pick: AX5 diesel manual, which adds a panoramic sunroof, front and rear parking sensors and keyless entry with proximity sensing well below the range mid-point

An EMI of Rs. 23,490 against a loan of Rs. 14,60,000 is what financing the AX 2.0 Petrol MT comes to, a useful starting point before weighing whether a higher trim justifies the extra outlay. Spread across 27 variants covering petrol and diesel engines in manual and automatic form, the smarter approach is to shortlist the features that matter most, safety kit, comfort or the AWD diesel automatic at the top, before locking in a trim in Bargarh.

Hi Team, I am currently driving a 2020 Maruti Suzuki Baleno and am planning to upgrade to an SUV. My shortlisted options are the Honda Elevate, Tata Harrier, and Mahindra XUV 7XO. My daily drive involves around 35 to 40 kms in heavy Bangalore city traffic, along with occasional highway trips. My primary priority is a car with a solid 5-star safety rating, along with good ride comfort and easy city drivability. Coming from a lightweight hatchback, I am looking for an option that offers a clear step up in safety and space without feeling overly cumbersome during my daily urban commute. Could you please evaluate these three models based on my usage and suggest the best option and engine-transmission combination for me?

I would really appreciate your expert guidance because I’m confused between three Mahindra options: * Mahindra XUV 7XO AX5 Diesel Automatic * Mahindra XUV 7XO AX5 Petrol Automatic * Mahindra XEV 9S My driving pattern is as follows: * Around 30–40 km daily, almost entirely within Chandigarh city. * Occasional highway trips, but the majority of my driving is in city traffic. My biggest priorities are: 1. Low running cost over the long term. 2. Reliability and hassle-free ownership. 3. Good drivability in city traffic. 4. A future-proof choice that I can comfortably keep for the next 7–10 years. My questions are: 1. Is a modern diesel automatic a good choice for someone driving only 30–40 km per day in the city? I’ve heard concerns about DPF regeneration and diesel suitability for predominantly urban driving. Is my daily running sufficient to avoid such issues? 2. If my usage remains 30–40 km daily in the city, would you recommend the XUV 7XO Diesel Automatic over the Petrol Automatic, or is the petrol variant a better long-term choice? 3. I have also been reading discussions that, in the future, diesel may gradually see higher blends of isobutanol or other biofuels, similar to how ethanol blending has increased in petrol. Is this something buyers should genuinely be concerned about over the next 7–10 years, or is it unlikely to affect the reliability and longevity of modern diesel engines? Would you consider diesel a safe long-term investment from this perspective? 4. I also really like the Mahindra XEV 9S because of its low running costs, smooth driving experience, and the convenience of home charging. However, my only concern is charging infrastructure on outstation trips. While most of my driving is within the city, I do take occasional long-distance drives and don’t want to feel restricted because of charging availability. 5. Considering my usage, which of these would you personally recommend: * XUV 7XO AX5 Petrol Automatic * XUV 7XO AX5 Diesel Automatic * Mahindra XEV 9S If you were buying a vehicle for yourself with the same driving pattern and intended to keep it for the next 7–10 years, which one would you choose and why? Looking forward to your expert advice. Thank you!

Hi sir, Among xuv 7xo and tata harrier, ride and handling wise which car do you think is better? Which one is better in handling bad roads and has good handling at highway speeds? What is your pick. My usage will be primarily as a 5 seater. Would be great if you can do a short comparision of pros and cons of both these cars? I am planning to go with diesel automatic.

I own a kwid rxt, in a few months want to buy a new car, i narrowed down kia clavis petrol automatic and xuv 7xo diesel, clavis felt very refined and powerful but would have to use usb for android auto and heard reviews that engine is troublesome. Not sure how true that is. Xuv 7xo has unmatched power and buid quality is solid. However, the 3rd is not much usable and no boot space with all rows up. I dont want to go for xuv 7xo petrol because of its poor mileage. My usage is 50 km daily with 1 to 2 highway trips in a month. Please suggest which is best?

Hi Autocar India team, I would really appreciate your expert guidance, as I'm confused between three Mahindra options: the XUV 7XO AX5 Diesel Automatic, the XUV 7XO AX5 Petrol Automatic, and the XEV 9S. My driving pattern consists mainly of 30-40 km per day, almost entirely within Chandigarh city. I do take occasional highway trips, but the majority of my driving is in city traffic. My biggest priorities are low running costs over the long term, reliability and hassle-free ownership, good drivability in city traffic, and choosing a vehicle that I can comfortably keep for the next 7-10 years. I have a few questions. First, is a modern diesel automatic a sensible choice for someone who drives only 30-40 km a day in the city? I've heard concerns about DPF regeneration and whether diesel vehicles are suitable for predominantly urban driving. Would my daily usage be enough to avoid such issues? Second, if my driving pattern remains the same, would you recommend the XUV 7XO Diesel Automatic over the Petrol Automatic, or would the petrol variant be the better long-term choice? I've also been reading discussions suggesting that diesel fuel could gradually see higher blends of isobutanol or other biofuels in the future, similar to how ethanol blending has increased in petrol. Is this something buyers should genuinely be concerned about over the next 7-10 years, or is it unlikely to affect the reliability and longevity of modern diesel engines? From this perspective, would you still consider a diesel vehicle a safe long-term investment? I also really like the Mahindra XEV 9S because of its low running costs, smooth driving experience, and the convenience of home charging. My only concern is the availability of charging infrastructure during outstation trips. Although most of my driving is within the city, I do take occasional long-distance journeys and wouldn't want to feel restricted by charging availability. Considering my usage and priorities, which of these three would you recommend: the XUV 7XO AX5 Petrol Automatic, the XUV 7XO AX5 Diesel Automatic, or the Mahindra XEV 9S? If you were buying a vehicle for yourself with the same driving pattern and planned to keep it for the next 7-10 years, which one would you choose, and why? Looking forward to your expert advice. Thank you!

We'd recommend the Mahindra XEV 9S. With a daily commute of 30-40 km, almost entirely in city traffic, and access to home charging, an EV simply suits your usage better than either a petrol or diesel vehicle. It offers the lowest running costs, the smoothest driving experience in stop-start traffic, and significantly lower maintenance than an ICE SUV. Since you intend to keep the vehicle for 7-10 years, you'll benefit from these lower operating costs over a long ownership period.Between the two XUV 7XO variants, we'd choose the Mahindra XUV 7XO AX5 Petrol Automatic over the XUV 7XO AX5 Diesel Automatic. Although your daily driving distance is enough for the engine to reach its operating temperature, DPF-equipped diesel engines perform best when they are driven on regular highway runs at sustained speeds. With predominantly urban use, the petrol variant is the safer and more hassle-free option. We also wouldn't be concerned about E20 petrol or speculate about future diesel biofuel blends. Modern engines are designed to run on the fuels currently mandated, and there is no official roadmap that should influence your buying decision today.Your concern about charging infrastructure on long trips is valid, but it's becoming less of an issue with each passing year. The charging network on major highways continues to expand rapidly, and for the occasional outstation drive, a little route planning is usually all that's required. Since the vast majority of your driving is within Chandigarh, you'll spend most of your time charging conveniently at home rather than visiting fuel stations.
