April witnessed the launches of models like Vinfast VF MPV 7, Volkswagen Taigun facelift, Tesla Model Y L, Mercedes CLA EV and even the locally assembled Range Rover Sport Autobiography. May looks set to carry that momentum forward. Alongside some confirmed launches, several other models are also expected to arrive this month. Keep reading to find out what we know about these models.
2026 Honda City facelift
May 22

The 2026 Honda City facelift will be the second update for the fifth-generation sedan, after the first facelift arrived in 2023. The changes on the outside are expected to be minor, with updates to the headlights, tail-lamps, bumpers and wheels. The bigger changes should come inside, where Honda may add features such as a powered driver's seat, ventilated front seats, a larger touchscreen, a digital driver's display and more. I's likely to continue with the same 121hp 1.5-litre petrol and 126hp hybrid powertrain options, along with their respective gearbox choices.
Honda ZR-V
May 22

The Honda ZR-V will come as a full CBU import and is expected to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, ex-showroom. In India, it will take on premium five-seat SUVs like the Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq (Lounge variant). The ZR-V will arrive as a new nameplate for Honda in India and will serve as the brand's flagship SUV here. The ZR-V will kick off a new wave of premium halo models from Honda, underlining the brand's heightened seriousness in the Indian market. Like the global-spec model, the ZR-V headed here is expected to stretch the tape to around 4,568mm in length. Features should include a powered driver's seat, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, a powered tailgate and ADAS. Power is likely to come from a 180hp 2-litre four-cylinder petrol-hybrid powertrain, paired with an e-CVT.
MG Majestor
Expected by second week

The MG Majestor, which will replace the Gloster and chiefly rival the Toyota Fortuner, could be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 45 lakh, ex-showroom. The SUV gets six/ seven-seat configuration, dual 12.4-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, 3-zone climate control, dual wireless chargers and a powered tailgate. It also gets a 12-way powered driver's seat, an 8-way powered co-driver's seat, front seat ventilation and massage and 64-colour ambient lighting. Power will come from a 2-litre twin-turbo diesel engine with 215hp and 479Nm, paired with an 8-speed torque-converter automatic and a 4WD system with low range. It also gets three locking differentials and 10 off-road modes.
Tata Sierra EV
Expected by third week

The Tata Sierra EV will slot below the Harrier EV flagship in Tata's EV portfolio, and take on Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti e Vitara, Mahindra BE 6 and Vinfast VF6. Visually, it could differ from the ICE version with a sealed front nose finished in body colour and revised bumper detailing. The cabin is expected to resemble that of the ICE version, and feature a 10.25-inch driver's display, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch passenger screen. Other likely features include a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, a premium audio system and drive modes.
While range, battery and motor specs are unclear right now, Tata has confirmed both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions, which will make it the second Tata EV to offer both layouts after the electric Harrier. There is also a possibility that the Sierra EV could use an integrated drive unit similar to the Punch EV, where the motor and key ancillaries are packaged into a single housing. Tata claims this helps keep the powertrain more compact and cost-efficient. It will be produced at the Sanand plant alongside the Sierra ICE.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella
Expected by fourth week

Toyota's Urban Cruiser Ebella, revealed on January 20, is still waiting for prices. The badge-engineered sibling of the Maruti e Vitara, priced from Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 20.01 lakh, may have a similar price bracket. The cabin laoput resembles that of the Maruti's, and comes equipped with features like a 10.1-inch driver's display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and sliding, reclining and 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats. The EV will be offered with two LFP battery and motor options: 49kWh-144hp/ 189Nm and 61kWh-174hp/ 189Nm. The larger battery is claimed to deliver a claimed range of 543km, while the smaller one is rated at 440km. Toyota will offer it in three variants: 41kWh-E1, and 61kWh-E2 and 61kWh-E3.
Skoda Kodiaq RS
Expected by fourth week

The Kodiaq RS will be Skoda first RS-badged SUV in India and it could be priced between Rs 57 lakh and Rs 60 lakh, ex-showroom. Compared with the standard Kodiaq, it gets sportier styling inside and out, with red brake callipers sitting behind 20-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out roof rails and outer rear-view mirror caps. Inside, the cabin gets an all-black theme with red accents, contrast stitching, a 13-inch infotainment screen and a digital driver's display. Under the bonnet is the 'E888' 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, but tuned here to 265hp and 400Nm; that's 60hp and 80Nm more than the regular Kodiaq. It's paired with a 7-speed DCT, channeling power to all four wheels. Skoda claims a 0-100kph time of 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 231kph.
BMW M440i convertible
Expected by fourth week

Based on the 4 Series Coupe, the BMW M440i Convertible carries the same styling but gets a folding fabric roof that opens or closes in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 50kph. Under the bonnet is BMW's 3.0-litre B58 turbo-petrol straight-six, shared with the M340i, producing 374hp and 500Nm. An 8-speed automatic sends power to all four wheels, helping the convertible sprint from 0-100kph in 4.9 seconds before hitting an electronically limited 250kph.
Mini Countryman C
Expected by fourth week

Pre-bookings for the locally assembled Mini Countryman C petrol SUV are already open. Since it sits lower in the range and will be built locally, it should cost much less than the JCW All4, which is priced at Rs 64.9 lakh. The new variant is expected to offer a circular OLED touchscreen, steering-mounted controls, a head-up display, a Harman Kardon sound system, a 360-degree camera and multiple airbags. The Countryman uses the same UKL2 front-wheel-drive platform as the BMW X1, and it could share the X1's 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. In the BMW SUV, that engine makes 136hp and 230Nm.
