The Nissan Magnite CNG was launched on Wednesday (May 28), with prices starting at Rs 6.89 lakh and going up to Rs 10.02 lakh. Bookings will open from June 1 at authorised Nissan dealerships across 7 states: Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala and Karnataka. This launch confirms our earlier scoop about the Magnite CNG’s imminent arrival.
Nissan has confirmed that while the Magnite facelift is compatible with the retrofit CNG kit, they have yet to test it on the pre-facelift model.

CNG kit is a dealer-level fitment for an extra Rs 75,000
Nissan offers the single-cylinder CNG kit for the Magnite with the 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine only. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard. As the Magnite with the 1.0-litre NA engine is available in 6 variants, the CNG kit is also available in the same 6 variants but costs Rs 75,000 more.
The CNG kit is supplied by Motozen, and installation will be carried out at government-authorised fitment centres. A 3-year/1 lakh km warranty is standard with the CNG fitment. The brand also states that in Phase 2, dealer-level CNG fitment will be rolled out to more states across India.

Magnite CNG prices start below those of the Punch and Exter CNG
Priced between Rs 6.89 lakh and Rs 10.02 lakh, the Nissan Magnite CNG is well-positioned compared to rivals like the Tata Punch CNG and Hyundai Exter CNG. Interestingly, the Kiger CNG's kit – a dealer-level fitment – also costs Rs 75,000 more than the equivalent variant.
