With the new Venue, Hyundai has introduced 'HX' nomenclature for the trims. The other Hyundai models follow the older style, with trims such as S, SX, SX+, and so on.
A total of 5 engine and gearbox combinations to choose from

The second-generation Venue continues with the 83hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol, the 120hp 1-litre turbo-petrol and the 116hp 1.5-litre diesel engine options of the previous-generation model.
However, a small but likeable update is that the compact SUV now also offers a diesel-automatic in the mid-spec HX 5 and top-spec HX 10 trims. Earlier, the diesel engine was only available with a manual transmission.
The NA petrol engine comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox in all trims except the higher-spec HX 7, HX 8 and HX 10. The more potent turbo-petrol engine is unavailable in the HX 4, HX 6T and HX 7 trims, with the HX 5 and HX 8 offering both manual and DCT options. The diesel-MT option is offered with the entry-level HX 2 trim.
