With MG Gloster prices ranging from Rs 28.98 to 35.38 lakh (introductory), the full-size SUV is now the brand’s most expensive model on sale in India. A rival to the Ford Endeavour (Rs 29.99-35.10 lakh), Toyota Fortuner (Rs 30.67-34.34 lakh)* and Mahindra Alturas G4 (Rs 28.73-31.73 lakh), the Gloster is priced quite competitively, with prices starting from below the Fortuner and Endeavour. However, the fully-loaded Gloster is the most expensive model here.

In typical MG fashion, the Gloster is packed with equipment with buyers having a choice of four variants – Super, Smart, Sharp and Savvy – with the top-spec model packing in segment-unique advanced driver aids.

While you will have read about the Gloster’s vast equipment list and advanced driver aids in our first drive review, our test car was the top-spec Savvy variant. Lower variants, of course, miss out on some of that tech. Here, we take a look at what each variant packs in and how much they cost.

MG Gloster Super (7-seater - Rs 28.98 lakh)

MG Gloster Smart (6-seater - Rs 30.98 lakh)

In addition to the Gloster Super:

MG Gloster Sharp (6-seater – Rs 33.98 lakh; 7-seater – Rs 33.68 lakh)

In addition to the Gloster Smart:

MG Gloster Savvy (6-seater– Rs 35.38 lakh)

Power comes from a 2.0-litre diesel engine in two states of tune. The Gloster Super and Smart trims come with a 163hp and 375Nm, 2.0-litre single-turbo diesel engine with two-wheel drive.

The higher Gloster Sharp and Savvy, meanwhile, pack in the more powerful 218hp and 480Nm, twin-turbo derivative of the same and get on-demand 4WD. An 8-speed automatic gearbox is standard across the range.

MG Gloster My MG Shield package

MG recently also announced its customised My MG Shield package for its flagship SUV. In a rather unique move, buyers of the Gloster receive a Rs 50,000 credit from MG, which they can use to accessorise their SUV or opt for a range of extended warranties, service packages and buy back schemes to their tastes. The standard warranty for the Gloster is 3 years/ 1 lakh km along with 3 years of roadside assistance cover.
