The MG Gloster will be available with up to 5 years warranty cover and road side assistance under the company’s, My MG Shield plan. Customers will also be able to avail a variety of service plans for the SUV. In a first, MG will offer Gloster customers with a Rs. 50,000 credit that can be used to buy option plans under the carmaker’s My MG Shield program or vehicle accessories, additional charges are to be borne by the customers.

MG Gloster extended warranty plans

The Gloster will come with a 3 year/1 lakh km standard warranty (battery and tyres is 1 year) along with a 3 year roadside assistance cover. Under My MG Shield, customers can extend this cover to include the fourth and fifth year along with having the option to leave the mileage unchanged or increase it to unlimited kilometres. Prices for the extended warranty, range from Rs. 9,500 for a 3-year unlimited km warranty to Rs. 35,000 for the 5 year unlimited km extended warranty. Prices for RSA range from Rs. 2,457 for the fourth-year cover and Rs. 4,791 for coverage up to the fifth year.

MG Gloster service plans

Also, part of the Shield program is a choice of two service packages for a period of up to 5 years. Buyers can opt for either a Classic or Premium protect plan. The former covers scheduled services but doesn’t include wear and tear parts - like the tyres, battery or collisions - while the latter includes some wear and tear cover. Both plans are available in 3 year/45,000km, 4 year/50,000km and 5 year/75,000km covers. The Classic protect plan will set you back between Rs. 43,000 and Rs. 75,000 while the Premium plans prices range from Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.65 lakh.

MG Gloster buyback plan

Also, part of MG Shield is a choice of three buy back plans costing between Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 70,000. The length of the plans are fixed at 3 years with customers able to select fixed mileage options of 30,000km, 45,000km and 60,000km. The buyback value for the Gloster is fixed at 50 percent.

MG Gloster: A brief overview

Set to become MG’s flagship SUV, the Gloster will rival the likes of Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and Mahindra Alturas G4. The Gloster will be available in a choice of four trim levels and with two diesel engine options. The SUV will also pack in some segment first features in fully-loaded guise, including adaptive cruise control, blind spot assist, autonomous emergency braking and front collision warning.
