Maruti Suzuki’s Wagon R has been a popular model not only for private buyers but also for fleet operators, especially its lower-spec variant. Seeing this trend, the brand has now introduced a new variant, the Wagon R Tour H3, for the fleet market.

The Wagon R Tour H3 joins the Tour versions of the Dzire and the Ertiga, and all three models are sold via Maruti Suzuki Arena as well as its commercial dealerships.

Priced at Rs 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Wagon R Tour H3 can be ordered in a pure petrol or a CNG variant.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Tour H3: what’s new?

Based on the Wagon R LXI variant, the hatchback is available in Superior White and Silky Silver colour options, and is equipped with features like ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, and front power windows.

Powering the Wagon R Tour H3 is a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 64hp and 89Nm in the petrol version. It also gets Maruti’s DualJet technology with idle start-stop system, resulting in a claimed fuel efficiency of 25.4km/l. For the CNG version, the power figure drops to 56hp and 82Nm, and does not get the DualJet technology.

Maruti is claiming 34.37 km/kg efficiency with the CNG version. Both the variants are paired to a standard 5-speed manual gearbox.

In February, Maruti Suzuki introduced the updated Wagon R for the 2022 model year. The model now gets more efficient 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol units, additional features, minor cosmetic tweaks, and a rejig of variants. It rivals hatchbacks like the Hyundai Santro and Datsun Go.
