maruti suzuki celerio price hike 2025 6 airbags standard

Maruti Suzuki has updated the Celerio hatchback for 2025, now offering six airbags as standard across all variants. However, this change comes with a price hike of up to Rs 32,500, applicable immediately.

  1. Maruti Celerio will now be equipped with 6 airbags as standard, instead of 2
  2. Celerio ZXi+ price hiked by up to Rs 32,500
  3. VXi variants are up to Rs 21,000 pricier, entry-spec LXi increased by Rs 27,500

Prior to this refresh, Maruti Suzuki only offered two airbags as standard in the Celerio. Bumping that up is an appreciable step towards passenger safety in smaller, more affordable cars, and we expect Maruti Suzuki to implement the same across more of its model portfolio soon.

In addition to the safety enhancements, the Celerio gets a price hike across the board barring the ZXi AMT trim. The top-spec ZXi+ variants command the highest premium at up to Rs 32,500 over the outgoing prices, with the ZXi MT and entry-level LXi MT variants following closely with a Rs 27,500 increase. The VXi variants see a price bump of up to Rs 21,000, but the Celerio VXi CNG MT is only Rs 16,000 costlier. With the price hikes in effect, the Celerio now starts at Rs 5.64 lakh and extends to Rs 7.37 lakh.
