Mahindra has dropped a new teaser for the Scorpio N pickup truck, set to debut on August 14. Notably, this is the first time that the carmaker has officially confirmed the much-awaited pickup truck, which is the production version of the 2023 Global Pik Up concept, alongside announcing the reveal date. The 40-second teaser video showed only some parts of the upcoming vehicle's exterior and interior, and more information is expected to be revealed in the run-up to its reveal.

Up front, the truck gets L-shaped LED daytime running lights or DRLs, which bracket the slim LED headlights. Below them are vertically-stacked LED fog lamps on either side of the bumper. The front camera is placed just under the Twin Peaks logo on the grille, suggesting that the carmaker may equip the model with a 360-degree camera setup, or even the 540-degree setup (which adds an under bonnet view) as offered on the 2026 Scorpio N. The front grille itself has a hexagonal design.

Speaking of the side profile, the teaser suggests that the truck has a double-cab layout and a long rear load bed. As for the rear, large 'mahindra' lettering is embossed on the tailgate, and the LED tail-lights have a C-shaped design.

On the inside, the pickup truck features a large, portrait-style central touchscreen and a three-spoke steering wheel, similar to the Mahindra Vision T prototype. Also visible in the teaser are a digital driver's display, rotary knobs for controlling the climate control (dual zone) and drive mode selector.

Mahindra Scorpio N pickup powertrain, platform

Official details about the engine and gearbox specifications are under the wraps at the moment. At the unveil of the 2023 Global Pik Up concept, Mahindra had stated that the pickup will be powered by a second-generation all-aluminium mHawk diesel engine, which will be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Additionally, it had said that four-wheel drive and drive modes - Normal, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Rut and Sand - will also be on offer.

As we have exclusively reported before, the new pickup will be based on the Scorpio N's platform but with a longer wheelbase to accommodate a larger load bed. For reference, the Scorpio Classic has a 2.6-metre wheelbase, while its pickup version, sold in some international markets, has it extended to just over 3 metres.
