Tata Motors secured the second spot in October 2025 passenger vehicle retail sales with 74,705 units, according to data from the Vahan portal. The company retailed 7,905 units more than Mahindra and 9,660 units more than Hyundai.

Tata Motors’s consecutive second position
Tata Motors retailed 74,705 passenger vehicles in October 2025, maintaining its position just behind Maruti Suzuki. The brand had sold 38,286 units in August and 41,151 units in September, according to reports from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). This translates to an impressive 81 percent month-on-month growth in October, likely driven by the recent festive season and lowering of the GST rate, which led to price reductions of up to Rs 1.55 lakh on its passenger vehicles.
Hyundai and Mahindra sales increase too
Sales of Mahindra and Hyundai also soared. Mahindra recorded 66,800 units in October, a 77 percent increase from 37,659 units in September, while Hyundai’s 65,045 units were an 81 percent jump from the previous month’s 35,812 units.
