Honda has given a mid-cycle update to its seven-seat BR-V. Unveiled at the ongoing 2019 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) today, the Honda BR-V facelift gets cosmetic changes inside out. This mid-cycle refresh is the first major one since the current model was unveiled back in 2015.

First up, the updated BR-V gets an all-new front bumper with a revised design for the fog light housings and a faux skid plate. The bumper also gets subtle chrome trim and a faux brushed aluminum finish on the chin. The new BR-V's front grille remains unchanged with Honda’s family look that is prominent on models like the CR-V present. The model also gets daytime running lamps and revised headlight inserts. Moving to the sides, there are minor alterations to the cladding and the 16-inch alloy wheels get a new design, along with a diamond-cut finish.

At the rear, the overall look of the BR-V remains the same, save for some minor tweaks to the rear bumpers. On the inside, the BR-V gets dark grey interiors; top-spec variants get red stitching on the seats and a centre armrest as well.

The refreshed BR-V for Indonesia comes with a single 1.5-litre petrol unit, unlike the India-spec model that also gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine option. There is no news on the BR-V facelift making it to our market, however Honda has confirmed to us earlier that all its diesel engine models will be available post the BS-VI deadline as the company will go ahead and upgrade its sole 1.5-litre diesel engine in order to clear the stringent BS-VI emission norms.
