The Renault Kiger facelift is expected to launch ahead of the festive season this year. Renault’s Tata Nexon rival will finally get a much-needed refresh that will include subtle design updates and more features. Heavily covered test mules of the updated Renault Kiger were recently spotted testing on our roads again, giving us a hint of what to expect from the refreshed SUV.

  • Renault Kiger facelift will get updated front and rear ends
  • Better quality interior, more features expected
  • Kiger facelift is not expected to get any mechanical changes

Renault Kiger facelift launch before Diwali 2025

As part of the mid-cycle refresh, the Kiger will get an updated fascia with sharper styling cues that could mimic Renault’s newer models like the Kardian SUV sold in South America. The spy shot hints at a completely new bumper with a much larger central air intake, although the split headlamp arrangement remains largely unchanged. The headlamps and the DRLs could see minor reprofiling, and the grille is expected to sport a new-look Renault logo.

The spy shots also confirm the addition of fog lamps, which could be full-LED units in the higher variants. It’s a welcome addition because most new cars and SUVs, especially the ones with split headlamp arrangement, have completely foregone the provision of fog lamps these days. Sources tell us that most cosmetic updates will be limited to the plastic parts, with no sheet metal tweaks.

Renault Kiger facelift unlikely to get a sunroof

There are cosmetic updates expected on the inside, too, like better quality materials, new upholstery and more soft-touch finishes, depending on variant. The dual digital display on the higher variants is expected to continue along with the same 8-inch infotainment screen that comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There will not be any major equipment add-ons, and sources tell us that the Kiger facelift will continue to be sold without a sunroof on any variant.

Renault Kiger facelift to continue with two engine options

There are no mechanical changes expected. However, the current Kiger’s 72hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit and the 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol will continue to be offered on the facelift as well. The former comes with a 5-speed manual and AMT options, while the latter gets a 5-speed manual and CVT options, and these are expected to continue unchanged.

The Kiger facelift will continue to rival the likes of the higher variants of the Hyundai Exter and the Citroen C3 and compact SUVs like the Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue (all-new Venue coming by September), Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza and Skoda Kylaq, among others.
