The Nissan Magnite has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Magnite is the Japanese brand’s latest offering in India and is positioned in the compact-SUV segment.

Nissan has skipped diesel engines entirely for the Magnite, which only comes with a choice of two petrol engines - a naturally aspirated 72hp, 1.0-litre unit and a 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol. Both engines can be had with a 5-speed manual, while the turbo-petrol engine also comes with the option of a CVT automatic gearbox.
At launch, the Japanese carmaker only offers the Magnite compact SUV in five different trim-levels– XE, XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O). Accompanying these trims is an optional Technology pack available only on the top three trims for an additional Rs 39,000.
