With the 2025 festive season in full swing, carmakers are offering great deals and massive discounts and benefits on their respective portfolios. At the moment, only Maruti, Hyundai, Tata and Renault offer models in the compact hatchback and sub-compact SUV segments, and all of them have big discounts, benefits and offers available on small cars this month.

Maruti Baleno
Save up to Rs 1.05 lakh.
Retailed via Maruti’s Nexa outlets, this premium hatchback rivals the Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20, and comes with a 90hp 1.2-litre petrol engine that has manual and AMT options. A factory-fit CNG version is also on offer. Select Maruti Baleno variants have benefits to the tune of Rs 1.05 lakh this month. Considering its price range is Rs 5.99 lakh-9.10 lakh, the discounts make Maruti’s premium hatchback a much more desirable buy.
Renault Kwid
Save up to Rs 80,000.
Renault’s entry-level model and rival to the Maruti S Presso and Alto K10, gets a massive Rs 80,000 off in cash discounts, exchange benefits and a corporate discount, in addition to benefits from the brand’s Relive scrappage programme. The Renault Kwid is powered by a 69hp 1.0-litre petrol engine and comes with 5-speed manual and AMT options. Prices for the Kwid start at Rs 4.30 lakh and go up to Rs 5.99 lakh.
Maruti Ignis
Save up to Rs 75,000.
Maruti Nexa’s cheapest model, the Ignis, has total benefits and discounts worth up to Rs 75,000 this month, depending on the variant selected. The Maruti Ignis is powered by an 83hp 1.2-litre petrol engine, and has 5-speed AMT and manual gearbox options. Unlike most other Maruti cars, the Ignis does not get a factory-fit CNG option. After the recent GST 2.0-based price revision, the Ignis currently costs between Rs 5.35 lakh and Rs 7.55 lakh.
Tata Altroz
Save up to Rs 65,000.
While the recently launched Tata Altroz facelift has no offers, some dealers still have stock of the pre-facelift model, and cash discounts and exchange benefits amount to Rs 65,000 this month. The Altroz is the only diesel hatchback in India – it gets a 90hp 1.5-litre engine paired with a 5-speed manual. It’s also available with 88hp, 1.2-litre petrol-MT and AMT options, along with a dual-cylinder CNG version. Prices for the Altroz range between Rs 6.3 lakh and Rs 10.17 lakh.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
Save up to Rs 55,000.
The Grand i10 Nios, Hyundai's answer to the Maruti Swift, has benefits and discounts to the tune of Rs 55,000 this month, including cash discounts, exchange and loyalty benefits and other schemes. The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is on sale in petrol and CNG forms, powered by a 1.2-litre engine. The petrol version has 5-speed AMT and manual gearbox options, while the Nios CNG is manual only. Hyundai India’s smallest hatchback is currently priced between Rs 5.47 lakh and Rs 7.92 lakh.
Hyundai i20
Save up to Rs 55,000.
The larger Hyundai hatchback, which goes up against the Toyota Glanza and Tata Altroz, has total benefits and discounts worth up to Rs 55,000. The Hyundai i20 is available with the same 83hp 1.2-litre petrol engine as the Nios, but gets a more sophisticated CVT automatic option. The sportier i20 N Line variants get a 120hp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol mill that comes with 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox options.
Hyundai Exter
Save up to Rs 45,000
Hyundai’s smallest SUV is available with cash discounts and exchange benefits of up to Rs 45,000 this month. Discounts on the Hyundai Exter Pro Pack – launched in August for select variants – are slightly lower up to Rs 40,000. The Tata Punch rival is currently priced between Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 9.61 lakh, and gets the same powertrain options as the Grand i10 Nios.
Tata Punch
Save up to Rs 40,000.
The Tata Punch directly takes on the Hyundai Exter and naturally aspirated versions of the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. Discounts and benefits worth up to Rs 40,000 are on offer with Tata’s most affordable SUV, which is on sale with the same 1.2-litre petrol and CNG engine options (along with their associated 5-speed manual and AMT options) as the Altroz, and currently costs between Rs 5.50 lakh and Rs 9.30 lakh.
Tata Tiago
Save up to Rs 25,000.
The Tata Tiago rivals the Maruti Wagon R and Celerio, and is available with total discounts and benefits of up to Rs 25,000, including a cash discount and an exchange bonus. Tata’s current most affordable model is priced between Rs 4.58 lakh and Rs 8.10 lakh, and comes with petrol and CNG powertrain options, both of which get AMT and manual transmission options.
