Hero MotoCorp Xpulse 200 4V Expert Review

Xpulse 200 4V retains its adventure-bike design while receiving updates. The new 4-valve engine is the biggest change, but the motorcycle also gets revised graphics and a few functional improvements. Its tall stance, long-travel suspension and spoke wheels give it a proper dual-purpose look. The build quality is good for its price, and the bike continues to feel rugged enough to handle rough roads and trails without worry.

Xpulse 200 4V offers an upright and relaxed riding position that makes it comfortable for both city commuting and long rides. The wide handlebar and well-cushioned seat allow the rider to spend long hours on the motorcycle without much fatigue. The long-travel suspension does an excellent job of absorbing potholes and uneven roads, making it one of the most comfortable motorcycles in its segment. Taller riders will also appreciate the spacious ergonomics. 

The updated 199.6cc, 4-valve engine is smoother and more refined than before. It produces slightly more power and torque, but the biggest improvement comes from the revised gearing, which makes the motorcycle feel much livelier in everyday riding. Acceleration is stronger, especially in the mid-range, and the engine performs better at higher revs while remaining easy to ride in the city. The larger oil cooler also helps the engine stay cooler during demanding riding conditions. Fuel efficiency remains impressive, making the Xpulse economical to own and run. 

The Xpulse 200 4V continues to be one of the best affordable motorcycles for bad roads and light off-roading. Its lightweight chassis, long-travel suspension and 21-inch front wheel help it tackle rough terrain with confidence. At the same time, it remains easy to ride on city roads. The brakes offer good stopping performance, although the ABS can feel intrusive during off-road riding. Overall, the motorcycle feels more capable and enjoyable than before.

The motorcycle comes with a fully digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, LED lighting and single-channel ABS. While the display provides useful information, the gear position indicator is not always accurate and can be difficult to use. Despite this minor drawback, the overall feature list suits the motorcycle's adventure-focused character well. 

Xpulse 200 4V costs slightly more than the previous version, but the improvements justify the increase. The smoother engine, stronger performance, revised gearing and excellent ride quality make it a better commuter as well as a more capable off-road motorcycle. It continues to offer outstanding value for money and remains one of the best entry-level adventure motorcycles available.
