Hero MotoCorp Destini 110 Expert Review

The Destini 110 follows a neo-retro design with an LED projector headlamp, H-shaped DRL and tail-light, chrome accents, and metal panels on the side and front mudguard. It has a distinct identity, although the styling may not appeal to everyone. Overall finish quality and attention to detail could be better, and it does not match the standards set by its key rivals.

The well-padded seat and plush suspension setup provide a comfortable riding experience over bad roads, potholes and speedbreakers. The riding position is upright, with ample space ahead for the rider’s knees. Pillion comfort is also good, and the ZX variant adds a useful backrest for additional support.

The engine delivers power in a gentle and predictable manner, making the scooter easy to ride in the city. It feels most comfortable between 30kph and 60kph and is well-suited to daily commuting. While it can reach highway speeds, overtaking requires planning, and some vibrations can be felt at higher speeds.

The Destini feels planted and stable in most situations and inspires confidence even on changing road surfaces. It is not the sharpest handler, but it behaves in a calm and predictable way. Despite being one of the heavier scooters in the segment, it remains easy to manage both at a standstill and on the move.

The Destini 110 gets a digi-analogue instrument cluster, external fuel filler cap, Type-A USB charging port and Hero’s i3S idle stop-start system. However, it misses out on Bluetooth connectivity features. Braking performance is decent for city use on the top-spec disc brake variant.

The Destini 110 is a simple, comfortable and fuel-efficient scooter. Its strong ride comfort, impressive mileage and affordable pricing work in its favour. While fit and finish levels could be better and connectivity features are missing, it remains a value-focused alternative in the family scooter segment.
