A new Hyundai SUV has been spied testing on Mumbai’s roads by Autocar India’s intrepid reporters. This SUV seems to be an all-new model that has yet to be identified.

New Hyundai SUV exterior design
Spy shots show an upright stance and Ioniq 5-inspired LED tail-lights
The spy shots of the new Hyundai SUV show an upright stance and a boxy design, with thick MRF tyres and what appear to be 16-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, giving it a requisite muscly look. The SUV has flared wheel arches, bulges that look like plastic body cladding around the wheel arches, flush-fitting door handles, a thick C-pillar, a funky looking rear spoiler with a stop lamp, and LED tail-lights in a dotted pattern that are reminiscent of the Ioniq 5. Other discernible details include a shark-fin antenna, black roof rails, a blacked-out window line that curves upwards at the rear, and a flat tailgate that merges into a beefy looking rear bumper, which houses the number plate.
New Hyundai SUV interior and features
Spy shots show a 360-degree camera

While our on-scene reporter was unable to get a shot of the new Hyundai SUV’s interior, a few details of note were the sizable (about 10-inch) digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen. Further, the nodules on the outside rear-view mirrors indicate that it is fitted with a 360-degree camera.
New Hyundai SUV: Which model is it?
While we have not yet been able to identify this model, the new SUV could be the ‘muscular’ model with ‘off-road capabilities’ that Hyundai teased in its investor presentation in October last year. That model, which was teased alongside an MPV, is likely to be a new monocoque SUV with an all-wheel-drive system. On the other hand, this SUV could also be Hyundai's version of the Kia EV2, which is the sister Korean brand's smallest all-electric car.
