Suzuki bikes, scooters to get more affordable by up to Rs 18,024 post GST rate cut

Suzuki has announced that it will be passing on the complete benefit of the cut in GST rates for bikes and scooters below 350cc to its customers. The new prices will apply from September 22, when the revised GST rates come into effect. 

1. Suzuki Access gets more affordable by up to Rs 8,523
2. Gixxer SF 250 sees the highest price cut of up to Rs 18,024
3. Lower GST on spares should translate into lower maintenance costs

The Avenis too gets more affordable by Rs 7,823

Suzuki has reduced the price of its entire line-up that falls under the 350cc and below category. For starters, the brand’s bestseller, the Access, which is also one of the top-selling 125cc scooters, receives a price cut of Rs 8,523. The Access’s sporty sibling, the Avenis, sees a relatively lower price cut of Rs 7,823. The Burgman Street’s price will go down by Rs 8,373, whereas the more-expensive Burgman Street EX will see a higher price cut of Rs 9,798.

Moving on to bikes, the Gixxer line-up gets more affordable by at least Rs 11,520, whereas the more expensive Gixxer SF 250 witnesses the highest drop of Rs 18,024. The price of the quarter-litre tourer from Suzuki, the V-Strom SX, will fall by Rs 17,982.

Additionally, Suzuki says the lower GST on spare parts and accessories will also be passed on to the owners, and it should translate into lower maintenance costs.
