As its official unveiling draws nearer, sightings of the upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 are becoming increasingly frequent. The latest spy shot reveals yet more details, and this time around, the test mule is loaded with accessories.

    • Touring seats and mirrors will be offered
    • Various designs of crash protection likely to be available
    • Accessory foot pegs also seen

Some of the accessories are quite obvious and easy to pick out, while others require a closer look. Among the more visible ones are the large windscreen up front, and the pillion backrest at the rear. The presence of the pillion backrest is a hint that the bike will get touring seats. A closer look reveals the presence of touring mirrors as well.

Lower down on the bike, we see a rather large crash guard finished in chrome. RE is also likely to offer the same design finished in black and perhaps a smaller, sleeker designed crash guard, which, once again, will be available in both chrome and black. Finally, we also see accessory pillion foot pegs, which are larger than the standard pegs, and these will almost certainly be available for the rider as well.

And while not visible in this photo, the Super Meteor has been seen with a Tripper navigation pod installed, both in spy shots as well as in RE’s official teaser. The Tripper is likely to be offered as an accessory, as is the case with nearly all single-cylinder RE models, and this will likely be the first twin cylinder model from RE to get the Tripper.

The days to the official unveiling are ticking down fast, with the bike all set to be shown to the world on November 8 at EICMA in Italy. Stay tuned for more updates.
