Royal Enfield Global Recall

Royal Enfield has issued a global recall for defective reflectors across its entire product portfolio. This recall is for models manufactured between November 2022 and March 2023.

  • Reflectors to be replaced free of charge
  • To affect the entire product portfolio

These reflectors are located on the front fork and rear of the motorcycle and will be replaced for free by the brand. The company says these reflectors failed quality standards, do not meet the performance requirements, and could be affected by poor visibility.

While this issue has affected only a few motorcycles and may not seem alarming, reflectors are mandatory for safety and are issued by the government. As a precaution, Royal Enfield will conduct a replacement programme globally in phases. The brand advises all owners to visit their nearest service centre and have their reflectors replaced, which should take about 15 minutes.

You’d be happy to ride both bikes to faraway places. But the Kawasaki will be kinder to your back on these long hauls.

The differences are subtle, but the clip-on ’bars’ angles shape the characters.

Split-seat, flattened ’screen and a slimmer waist — the ’Busa drops big hints.

The ’Busa sports an organic design.

More impressive, but a bit dated.

Cowl for rear seat improves aero.

Single-piece seat and easy ergos mark the 14R as the long-distance champ.

Ram air duct dominates the front.

Anchor points for luggage on both bikes.

Simple layout. Information packed too.
