Royal Enfield has continued to trickle down the slip/assist clutch to more of its 350cc models and the latest one to receive it is the cool-looking Goan Classic 350. After this small update, the Goan Classic's price ranges between Rs 2.20 lakh - Rs 2.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 updated

Along with the slip/assist clutch, the Goan Classic 350 has also received a faster USB-C charging port - hidden discreetly under the clutch lever - which is a similar update to what we saw on the updated Hunter 350 when it came out last year. This means that now the Classic and Bullet - two of RE’s strongest selling models - are the only two 350s which still don’t come with the slip/assist clutch.
Aside from these two changes, the Goan Classic 350 remains exactly the same as it was. The long-stroke, 349cc, single-cylinder engine makes the same 20.2hp and 27Nm of torque as it did previously and the chassis too has been left untouched. Of all the 350cc Royal Enfields, the Goan Classic is perhaps the most niche offering with its funky colours and bobber style. However, when we rode the bike we found it to be pretty usable - especially so in comparison to competitors like the Jawa 42 Bobber - thanks to its smooth, torquey engine, composed chassis and ergonomics that don’t feel alien.
With prices ranging between Rs 2.18 lakh - Rs 2.21 lakh for the single and dual-tone colour options, respectively, the Goan Classic 350 is the most expensive of the Royal Enfield 350s. Our previous experience with the latest Meteor 350 and Hunter 350 tells us that the slip and assist clutch greatly reduces the effort needed to operate the clutch lever, which is especially helpful in stop-and-go city traffic, thereby making it a beneficial change to the riding experience.
