The next-gen KTM 390 Adventure will be available in three variants, of which the range-topping R model has already been showcased at EICMA. It is now likely that KTM will reveal the other two models at the 2024 India Bike Week
  1. 390 Adventure X and 390 Adventure S will have lower seat heights
  2. Price reveal and launch in early 2025

KTM 390 Adventure X, 390 Adventure S details

The 390 Adventure R is a serious off-road machine and it has 230mm of suspension travel as well as a tall 885mm seat height. Bajaj has learned from the current gen 390 ADV that seat height is a sensitive issue in India which is why there will be two more variants that will have a much lower seat height this time around.

The first is the 390 Adventure X, which like in the current gen model is going to be the affordable model in the line-up and it will run on 19-inch/17-inch wheels against the 21-inch/18inch setup up on the new 390 Adventure R. Suspension travel will also be reduced, at 200mm at both ends, but this is still a step up from the current 390 ADV and on par with the very capable Himalayan 450. The new KTM 390 Adventure X will have an 820mm seat height.

While the 390 X will be the most affordable variant, there will also be the 390 Adventure S. This bike will have more features and while it is likely to have the same amount of suspension travel, it remains to be seen if it will get adjustable suspension - the 390 Adventure X has a non-adjustable set-up. Interestingly, it is possible that the 390 Adventure S will run the spoked wheels in India with the same 21-inch/18-inch combo as the 390 Adventure R

KTM is likely to show off these new bikes at IBW as well as the 390 Enduro R and perhaps even the 390 SMC R. The recently launched lineup of big bikes and dirt bikes will also be on display. However, the company is not expected to reveal prices for the new 390 ADVs at IBW and the launch event will probably happen in early 2025.
