February 2025 has seen Honda take a commanding lead in the Indian two-wheeler market over Hero, among other developments. Here’s how every major Indian two-wheeler manufacturer performed.

Honda: 3,83,918 units

While Honda has taken the lead, its sales for February are actually down by 4.73 percent compared to the number it posted for January 2025 (4,02,977 units). Even in comparison to its sales figure for February 2024 (4,13,967 units), Honda reported a 7.26 percent decline. In recent months, the company has been steadily making its entire two-wheeler lineup OBD-2B compliant ahead of the looming April 1 deadline.

Hero: 3,57,296 units

Not only has Hero relinquished its usual number one spot to Honda, the company has also posted a decline of 13.36 percent compared to its January 2025 sales of 4,12,378 units. It's a similar story when you compare Hero’s numbers from last February as well (4,45,257 units), and the company has reported a 19.76 percent decline in sales. In recent months, Hero has been ramping up its presence in the premium space with launches like the Xoom 125, Xoom 160, Xpulse 210 and Xtreme 250R.

TVS: 2,76,072 units

TVS is in its usual place, among the top three OEMs in our market, but it too has reported a 6.05 percent decline compared to its January 2025 numbers of 2,93,860 units. However, compared to its numbers for last February (2,67,502 units), it has reported a small 3.20 percent increase. It bears mentioning that TVS’ numbers don’t include those of its electric scooter portfolio. TVS has also started making its lineup OBD-2B compliant starting with the Jupiter 110.

Bajaj: 1,46,138 units

Bajaj is in its de facto number four position and it too has reported a 14.69 percent decrease compared to its January 2025 sales of 1,71,299 units.
