Ather Rizta S 3.7kWh launched at Rs 1.38 lakh

Ather has expanded its Rizta family scooter line-up with the introduction of the new Rizta S 3.7kWh, priced at Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru)

  1. Ather Rizta S gets the larger battery from the Z 3.7kWh
  2. Gets a larger 3.7kWh battery with 159km IDC range
  3. It features a 7-inch LCD screen, auto hold and turn-by-turn navigation

It has a claimed IDC range of 159km

Ather has added a new mid-spec variant to its family-focused electric scooter line-up – the Rizta S 3.7kWh. This new variant is aimed at riders who want more range than the base 2.9kWh model but don’t need all the bells and whistles of the top-spec Z trim.

The S 3.7kWh gets the same larger battery as the Z 3.7kWh. However, to keep costs in check, the new S trim doesn’t get some of the Z’s features, such as the colour TFT touchscreen and certain cosmetic bits. That said, it still retains essentials like the 7-inch DeepView LCD screen, auto hold, emergency stop signal, turn-by-turn navigation, and Ather’s FallSafe feature.

Performance remains unchanged across the S and Z variants, irrespective of battery size. Both trims produce the same power and torque figures, with a top speed limited to 80kph. The key difference with the larger 3.7kWh battery lies in the extended range that is introduced with the S trim – now claimed at 159km (IDC, same for both S and Z).

The Rizta’s big 34-litre underseat storage carries over unchanged. You also continue to get the wide seat and access to Ather Grid’s 3900+ fast-charging points across India.

The new variant also comes with Ather’s ‘Eight70’ battery warranty program (8 years/80,000km) that can be added with the pro-pack and supports OTA updates.

Priced at Rs 1.38 lakh, the Ather Rizta S 3.7kWh sits between the base Ather Rizta Z 2.9kWh on the lower end and the top-spec Ather Rizta Z 3.7kWh on the higher end.

Bookings for the new S 3.7 kWh variant are now open across India via Ather’s experience centres and website, with deliveries expected to commence this month.

All prices ex-showroom, Bengaluru.
