Ather scooters available through CSD
Ather is among the first electric two-wheeler makers to be listed on CSD
The CSD is a government-run retail network under the Ministry of Defence that allows eligible Armed Forces personnel, veterans and their families to purchase a range of goods, including vehicles, at concessional prices. Vehicles purchased through the CSD channel are eligible for applicable GST concessions.
Ather becomes one of the first electric two-wheeler manufacturers in India to have its products listed on the CSD platform. Eight variants from the Ather 450 performance scooter range and Rizta family scooter lineup will be available through the channel. The performance-focused Ather 450 Apex, however, will not be available through CSD.
Eligible customers will be able to purchase the listed Ather scooters with manufacturer-backed discounts, which will apply over and above the applicable GST concessions available on CSD purchases. The exact benefit will vary depending on the model and variant.
The CSD listing expands Ather's sales reach to eligible defence personnel and gives them another channel through which to purchase its electric scooters.
