In the child occupant protection (COP), the Innova Hycross secured 45 out of 49 points.

In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, Innova Hycross secured 14.47 out of 16 points.

It secured full marks in the side movable deformable barrier test (16/16).

Innova Hycross is the first Toyota, the first MPV and also the first hybrid vehicle to be tested by BNCAP.

The Toyota Innova Hycross has scored a 5-star safety rating in both adult and child occupant protection at the Bharat NCAP crash tests. It secured 30.47 points out of 32 in adult occupant protection (AOP), while in the child occupant protection (COP) test, the Innova Hycross secured 45 out of 49 points. It was also rated ‘OK’ in the side pole impact test. Bharat NCAP has tested both petrol and hybrid variants of the Innova Hycross, and has clarified that the rating applies to the entire Innova Hycross range.
