
The ID Tiguan is bigger than the petrol-powered Tiguan in almost every dimension.

Front end is characterised by connected LED headlamps and illuminated VW emblem.

Clean side profile gets aero-optimised alloys and subtle body cladding.

At the rear, the ID Tiguan sports a full-width LED lightbar, illuminated logo, and a chunky bumper.

Triple-screen setup dominates the dashboard, and there are more physical controls than in the ID 4 too.

Floating centre console allows for more storage space below, with dual wireless charging pads up top.

Ambient lighting extends to the door liners in a dotted pattern.

Powered front seats can be specced with memory, ventilation, and massage functions.

A large panoramic sunroof will also be optionally available.

The ID Tiguan's boot space is up to 534 litres.

Additionally, you get a 32-litre frunk.

Battery options will 58kWh and 77kWh, with the latter delivering a WLTP range of up to 600km.

The Volkswagen ID Tiguan is set to go on sale globally in 2027 as the replacement to the ID 4 and ID 5 electric SUVs, and will be sold alongside the combustion-powered Tiguan. Based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB+ platform, the ID Tiguan adopts the carmaker's Pure Positive design language. Under the skin, the electric SUV offers 58kWh LFP and 77kWh NMC battery options, both of which are paired with a rear motor as standard; the larger battery can be had with a dual-motor AWD setup too. Power output is 190hp for the 58kWh battery, and up to 299hp for the 77kWh unit. WLTP range is claimed at up to 600km, depending on the battery option.
