
The Tata Sierra has secured a 5-star safety rating in BNCAP crash tests.

It's Adventure+ and Accomplished+ diesel variants were tested. Ratings apply to all variants in the lineup

As standard it gets 6 airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS, EBD, ESC, traction control and more.

It scored 15.14 points out of 16 in the frontal barrier test, while it achieved full points in the side barrier test.

It also secured an 'OK' rating in the side pole impact test.

It scored 44.73 points out of 49 in the child occupant protection score.

Sierra is the 10th Tata model to be tested by BNCAP, which is the most by any carmaker yet.

The Tata Sierra has secured a 5-star safety rating in the BNCAP crash tests. It scored 31.14 out of 32 in adult occupant protection and 44.73 out of 49 in child occupant protection tests. In the side pole impact test, the Sierra was given an 'OK' rating. BNCAP had tested the Sierra's Adventure+ and Accomplished+ diesel variants, and has confirmed that the ratings apply to the entire Sierra lineup. From the base trim onward, the SUV gets safety kit like six airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS, EBD, ESC, hill start assist, ISOFIX mounts and more. Tata now has 10 models on sale in India with a 5-star safety rating, the most of any carmaker in India, to date.
